Rosalia
Rosalia Vila Tobella[2] (born 25 September 1992),[3] known mononymously as Rosalia (Spanish: [rosa'li.a], Catalan: [ruz@'li.@]),[4][5][6] is a Spanish singer. She was raised in Barcelona. Her diverse style of music has earned her the label of "atypical pop star". She was attracted by Spanish folk music when she was only 13 years old. She studied musicology at Catalonia College of Music and also performed at weddings. The project reinvented flamenco and mingled it with pop and hip-hop music. The two singles "Malamente" and "Pienso in tu Mira" were popular among the Spanish public and garnered the acclaim of all critics. Recognized as the winner of the Latin Grammy Award for Album of the Year and listed in the Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, El Mal Querer started the ascendance of Rosalia into the international scene of music.
