April Ross
April Ross was one of just a handful of women beach volleyball stars who won medals at several Olympics. Alix klineman, who is playing for the first time at Tokyo's Olympic Games is hoping to secure her third medal. Ross's goal is to win her first Olympic gold medal. At 39 and has a long way to go, this could be her last chance. Her confidence is high, however. Ross was reported on NBC Boston as saying that if you play your top, even if you do well, we'll get the gold. It's also going to be the result of luck. Ross was born the 22, 1982, located in Costa Mesa California. She lived there along with her entire family. At Newport Harbor High School, she was a participant in many activities. Being a pre-athlete, she also played indoor track and volleyball. She was clearly the best at the sport of indoor volleyball. When she played in her high school volleyball career, according to her college biography she played as an outside-hitter, middle-blocker and setter. She was awarded one of the Gatorade National Circle of Champions Player of the year in 1999 for her achievements. Also, in 2000 she was awarded the Orange County Athlete of the year for volleyball. Ross and Klineman began their relationship in 2017 However, Ross had been a beach-scene player for years prior to. As a matter of fact, Ross has won several major tournaments in her career along with her two teammates. One of them is a legend. Jennifer Kessy was her partner during six years between 2007 and the year 2013. She also coached Klineman and herself. Ross, Kessy's fellow teammate who was the winner of the world championship with Kessy in 2009, was also significant on the an international level. This duo went into winning a silver at the 2012 Olympic Games at London. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) and Misty Maytreanor won gold, ahead of them. It was fate that had them. Ross turned out to be Walsh Jennings' new partner as May-Treanor stepped down. The pair took bronze at the Rio Olympics for beach volleyball. Ross started her college time with the Trojans at USC following graduation from high school. It was a long time before Ross hit the beach, and then became a pro. This was an impressive performance for Ross during her time at the college level. In 2000, as a freshman she fought her way to Pac-10 as well as NCAA All-American Freshman of Year honors and was an All-American. Additionally, she was a key player for helping the Trojans make their way to the Final Four. Her sophomore year was the time she experienced a devastating personal loss but still managed to make it back as an All-American. The last two years as a member of the Trojans in the program the team was led to victory by winning the national title in consecutive years. In 2003-04, Ross was named the top collegiate female volleyball player in America through the Honda Sports Award. Ross was a major in the field of international relations in USC. Margie Ross never saw her daughter make it to the top of beach volleyball. Ross suffered the loss of her mom to cancer of the breast in 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. She continues to cherish her late parent. In addition, Margie continues to be an motivation for her at the beaches and throughout her daily life.
