Charlotte Church (born February 21, 1986) is an opera star from Llandaff Wales in the United Kingdom. Welsh singer-songwriter popular for her pop and classical recordings. Her albums have sold more than 10 million sold. The singer debuted with the top-selling song Crazy Chick. Church had hoped to be cast as Hermione Grenger for the Harry Potter film but Church actually wanted Emma Watson to take on the part. Emma Watson was chosen instead. Church is the daughter of Charlotte Maria Reed in Llandaff which is a district in Cardiff Wales the daughter of Maria (nee Cooper) and Stephen Reed a computer engineer. Charlotte was taken care of by her mother after her father's separation from her her mother at the age of two. Charlotte was raised as an Roman Catholic. Maria Church adopted Charlotte as her child in 1999. She has 4 siblings, two younger brothers and sisters via her parents Luke and Alexander in addition to two older step siblings Elisha & Andrew from their adoptive fathers prior marriage.
